Four of us were well and truly replete after this amazing dinner. Three of us were non vegetarian and have been raving about this meal ever since. Very much reccomended. Book ahead so not to be disappointed.

We went to David Bann yesterday, and it is an absolute gem for anyone looking for innovative and flavorful vegetarian cuisine! We had the koftas of aubergine which are rich and beautifully spiced, offering a satisfying texture and depth of flavor. The wild mushroom strudel is an absolute standout, with delicate, flaky pastry encasing a wonderfully earthy filling. The leafy blue cheese and betrrot salad is fresh and vibrant, with the tangy cheese perfectly complementing the sweetness of the beetroot. To top it all off, the service is truly exceptional. Our waiter Albert went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. His attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made our visit even more special. Whether you're vegetarian or not, David Bann is a must-visit in Edinburgh. With its creative dishes, full of flavours and outstanding service, it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression. Excellent food! High quality and attention to detail. Friendly staff and they were always happy to accommodate our requests. I had the risotto which was delicious and quite filling. I didn't try the desserts but they looked amazing too.

Took my lovely wife for a fancy dinner on Valentine’s Day... yes, I’m the perfect husband She had gnocchi for starter and the veggie haggis for main. I had the superior meal, of course, consisting of smoked tofu to start and the best mushroom basil risotto my gorgeous lips have ever touched... had to ask for a spoon, so I could shove more of it into my mouth Service was fast, accurate and the staff laughed at all my jokes. To be expected, I am hilarious They even took our coats, put them on the cloak room and brought them back to our table along with the bill! Great food, nice, clean and calm atmosphere and amazing food!

Popped into David Bann Restaurant for a quiet solo meal because of its proximity to my hotel, and I'm so glad I did. In my experience you can expect a warm welcome, the loveliest staff and exemplary service, not to mention delicious food. The menu is varied but not too large (I'm always happier with a shorter menu that focuses on quality). I'm not vegetarian but honestly didn't miss having meat options. Portion sizes are generous but not ridiculous. I enjoyed a large bowl of soup with 2 decent-sized pieces of tasty bread followed by a very reasonably sized main course. I couldn't manage a pudding, although the menu made it very tempting. Prices are very reasonable for the level of service, food and central location. All in all, I'd highly recommend a visit and will make a point of going back to sample one of those puddings!

Was recommended by ChatGPT to try in Edinburgh !! And it was a great experience! Luke was very kind and attentive at serving us! And the food was delicious! One of the best vegetarian food we have ever had! Loved everything! Hopefully they open a branch in London!

Words fail me to be able to explain how special the food is here, I've been coming for over 10 years now although not regularly as I don't get many chances to visit, but each time David Bann is an amazing experience. The attention to detail in the presentation and flavours of each dish is just off the scale and something you don't find elsewhere. I'm vegan and plenty of the dishes are clearly labelled vegan and many can be made vegan for you. The restaurant itself is immaculate, nice ambience and lovely staff who look after you well. Just go... it'll be so much better than I could ever describe it to you!!!
